Dreyer took the reins of a young side this year after the Swans opted not to play in 2020.
Although they won just two of 15 games, the focus was on getting games into their local young talent. They hope to build on this by enticing some former experienced players back into the fold, or recruit some older heads.
Swans president Jeff Harris said Dreyer had earned the chance to build on the foundations he has put in place.
"He knows that group really well having coached a lot of them through the juniors. He's well respected among the group and we're very happy with the job he did," Dreyer said.
"It's very easy to say we could have or should have won a few more games, but it was never about that. It was always about development over results.
"We got a lot of games into the young guys this year and that group will be miles better for it, but we want a balance of senior heads to keep them on that learning progression."
Dreyer said he is hopeful of bolstering the squad with some key experienced players.
"We're continuing the same message. Get into a good pre season, try and do a bit of recruiting and see how we go," Dreyer said.
"I've spoken to a few blokes, so fingers crossed."
The Swans held their presentation night on Saturday, where Jack Rowston sealed his first best and fairest by a vote from Tom Powell.
Rowston's father, Phillip, was also made a life member of the club, along with long-time current player James Toscan.
The netball best and fairest was won by Jess Conlan after the Swans finished second on the Riverina League ladder.
