Twelve people have been evacuated from a business on Wagga's main street after reports of a building fire came through to emergency services.
Firefighters were called to Baretta Lane, behind Baylis Street, at 12.10pm and shortly discovered a bin that was alight behind the shop.
Fire and Rescue NSW zone commander Stewart Alexander said the flames had been extinguished, but a HAZMAT team was on its way as a precaution to ensure the contents of the bin are contained safely.
