At the age of 16, club president Tim Peachey bought his very first Mini, not realising the vehicle would go on to become a defining aspect of his life and interests.
Mr Peachey fell in love from the moment he squeezed himself into the front seat and got behind the wheel and in the five decades that followed he has owned "countless" more Minis.

His passion for the small-scale vehicles stems from their unique ability to bring a smile to people's faces and create memorable moments.
"Once you own a Mini you just can't not own one - they are an addictive car," Mr Peachey said.
"They've got a lot of character, people smile when they see them and we get a lot of attention wherever we go because just about every person you talk to has a story that is centred around a Mini."
Through the Riverina Mini Car Club (RMCC), Mr Peachey has had a chance to forge lifelong friendships with drivers from across NSW who share the same love for the iconic car and for these enthusiasts today is the biggest day of the year.
The club will be hosting its 18th annual Mini Muster on Saturday from 10am to 1pm at the Wagga Tourist Information Centre carpark on the corner of Tarcutta Street and Cross Street.
Mr Peachey said unfortunately lockdowns in Sydney and Canberra means they won't be able to replicate the record turnout they received last year, but he expects it to be a fun day all the same.
As well as the 20 to 30 Minis that will be on display, there will also be a sausage sizzle and a raffle to raise money for the RMCC.
