The performances will be running until January 7 to educate children about reptile conservation and to develop awareness.
Hands were raised in excitement yesterday to volunteer for the chance to hold a snake.
One of the lucky people chosen was Christopher Reid, 6, who is on holiday from New Zealand.
It was the first time he had touched a snake in his life and he couldn't stop smiling.
"He did very well considering when we were driving here in the car he said no way when we suggested it," his father, Peter Reid said.
