The latest case, a household contact of one previously known to the MLHD, is currently in home isolation, bringing the region's total to 44 cases since the start of the Delta outbreak.

All close contacts have been identified and, so far, no new venues of concern have been identified within the region.

However, the MLHD is encouraging anyone with the mildest symptoms to get tested following the detection of COVID-19 in some of the region's sewage.

Testing is available in Wagga at 84-86 Murray Street from 9am to 4pm, or between 10am and 6pm at the Equex drive-through testing centre. Testing is also available at the Griffith testing clinic until 3pm on Sunday.

Testing will also be available at West Wyalong Hospital from 12 to 3pm on Sunday.

NSW Health's Dr Jeremy McAnulty announced this morning that 477 new cases of COVID-19 were reported across the state in the 24 hours to 8 pm on Saturday.
