Six venues of concern have been named in Deniliquin after the region recorded its first COVID cases in the Delta outbreak this week.

Two residents in the Edward River Council local government area tested positive yesterday bringing the total in the region to three.
Contract tracing has been underway since the positive tests and the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) has now listed multiple exposure sites.

Anyone who has visited any of these venues at the times listed is a casual contact and should immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.

- Mitre 10 (Deniliquin) - 98 Hardinge Street on Tuesday, September 28 between 3:40pm and 4:10pm
- Total Bliss (Deniliquin) - 3/344-354 Cressy Street on Monday, September 27 between 12:30pm and 1:45pm
- Soul Pattinson Chemist (Deniliquin) - 289 Cressy Street on Monday, September 27 between 10:10am and 10:25am
The MLHD urged the Deniliquin community to be vigilant in mask wearing, hand hygiene and social distancing, get tested if they have the mildest of symptoms, and if eligible, come forward for vaccination as soon as possible.
Testing is available at the rear of Deniliquin Hospital on Sunday and Monday Sunday between 9am and 2pm.
A list of venues of public concern in the MLHD identified so far during the contact tracing process is available online via the health district's website.
