Seven new cases of COVID-19 have been reported within the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, with a contained exposure being managed at the VISY worksite in Tumut.

Five new COVID cases are residents of the Hilltops local government area. These cases are household contacts of a previously reported case and are in home isolation.
One case is a resident of the Griffith LGA who acquired their infection outside of the MLHD and has been in isolation since returning.
An additional case, first announced yesterday but reported in today's numbers, is a person from within the MLHD who was being treated at Deniliquin Hospital. This case as since been transferred to Melbourne.
The MLHD's public health unit is currently working with Ochre Health Medical Centre in Deniliquin on casual contacts at this practice.
The new cases brings the total number of cases in the Griffith LGA to one, Hilltops LGA to 24 and Albury LGA to 7, with one yet to be assigned.
There are a total of 33 cases reported in the MLHD since the start of the current outbreak.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The public health unit is also working with management at VISY's worksite in Tumut following a contained exposure.
"The person is an essential worker who undergoes regular routine testing," an MLHD spokesperson said in a statement.
"They are now isolating outside of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District."
The MLHD said VISY has a COVID safety plan in place and management has been "proactive" of the exposure.
Additional testing will be available at the Tumut Hospital today, Friday October 1 through to Monday, October 4 from 2:30 to 3:30pm.

Anyone who has visited any of these venues at the times listed is a casual contact and should immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.

- Moama Woolworths Supermarket, Cnr Cobb Hwy and Perricoota Road - Friday September 24, 6:10pm - 7:10pm
- Young Woolworths, 263 Boorowa Street - Saturday September 25, 8:40pm - 9:15pm AND Monday September 27, 12:35pm - 1:35pm
- Young Reject Shop, 146 Boorowa Street - Monday September 27, 9:55am - 10:40am
- Young TSG Tobacconist, 237-239 Boorowa Street - Monday September 27, 10:15am - 10:45am
- Young ALDI, 11 Zouch Street - Monday September 27, 10:10am - 11:15am
- Young Blooms Pharmacy, 46 Boorowa Street - Monday September 27, 12:25pm - 1pm
