A man was left fighting for his life following a stabbing in Wagga early on Thursday morning.

About 1.30am, emergency services were called to Karoom Drive in Glenfield Park, after reports a man had been stabbed.
"Upon arrival, officers attached to Riverina Police District found a man with multiple wounds to his body," a NSW Police statement said.
"NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 58-year-man at the scene before he was conveyed to Wagga Base Hospital in a critical condition to undergo surgery.
"Two crime scenes were established as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident."
Following the surgery, the man was listed in a stable condition as of 3pm on Thursday.
