Organisers hope the new event, scheduled for March 12-13, will bring a smile to the face of many farmers, with the professionals not coming into town for a second consecutive year.
Field Days CEO Belinda Anderson stated that while details for the new event's format are yet to be announced, the intention is now to create "something that will carry on in the future."
"The aim of the event is really to get the community back together," Ms Anderson said.
"We're just hoping to get our communities back together after living through drought, bushfires and COVID restrictions."

Organisers previously hoped to replicate the Field Days during March next year, however, the time and expense could not be justified by exhibitors.
Ms Anderson agreed that the scale of September's event would be difficult to reproduce twice in one year.
"Logistically, it was going to be quite hard for our exhibitors," Ms Anderson said.
"Our exhibitors put a lot of time, effort and expense into the event, and there are also three other field days in Victoria and South Australia during March."
Ms Anderson stated plans are in the development phase, hoping to appeal to the likes of locals while forging a healthy future for an annual Autumn event.
"That would be why we need to be different to a normal Field Day, so if it's successful, then we'll certainly look at continuing it on each March," Ms Anderson said.
