Whether it's dancing to 80s classics or creating a unique piece of art, there's something to suit everyone and here are some of our top picks.
For dancers
Things will be getting retro at Bolton Park Stadium these holidays with Twin City Skate hosting multiple "roller discos" - complete with a live DJ, colourful lights and a giant disco ball.
Club president Kurt Wawszkowicz said the events would be the perfect way to fill a few hours with fun and energetic dancing.
"I've got kids and we're trying to get them as many life experiences as we can during these challenging times so we've decided to host these retro discos during the school holidays," Mr Wawszkowicz said.
"It's going to look really good we're very sure of that and we're also positive it will be something fun and memorable for both kids and adults as well."
"I'm over 40 years old and I'm still excited about the giant disco ball."
The two-hour sessions cost $15 and will be running before and after lunch each Friday, Saturday and Sunday before school returns on October 4.
Due to ongoing COVID restrictions numbers are limited and bookings must be made on the Twin City Skate website.
For painters
Lovers of paint and art will be able to attend open studio sessions hosted by Little Yellow House at their gallery at 41 Thompson Street.
Children at the sessions will be given a canvas and multiple options for subjects to re-create in their own style, before then being able to bring their artwork home to hang up.
The $30 classes are running between 3pm and 5:30pm both this Thursday and next. To book a spot contact 0418 414 455 or contact Little Yellow House on social media.
IN OTHER NEWS:
For skaters
If you're looking for something a little more action-packed, a pump track has been set up at the Botanic Gardens for the first week of school holidays.
The 36-metre track can be ridden by all ages and abilities, whether they're on bikes, skateboards, in-line skates or scooters.
Simply rock up with your vehicle of choice and take on the track at a pace you feel comfortable with.
For creatives
For children who love to create something unique or who are passionate about fashion and clothes, Sew Me Wagga will be hosting multiple workshops throughout the holidays.
The workshops range from making tie dye tracksuits to monkey-shaped backpacks and they will be held at the Sew Me studio at 1/88 Fitzmaurice Street.
A maximum of six children are allowed at each workshop so make sure you get your bookings in quick on the Sew Me Wagga website. Each session costs between $50 and $80.
For sports lovers
Children who love sport can embrace their inner-Federer and learn how to serve aces and win rallies at the South Wagga Tennis Camp.
The camps are running at the South Wagga Tennis Club from Monday to Thursday next week and cost $25 per day.
The sessions from from 9am to 12pm and to secure a spot simply contact the South Wagga Tennis Club page on Facebook.
For scientists
Nothing says school holidays quite like science experiments in the kitchen and that's exactly what the SEEK packs from Wagga City Library are all about.
As part of the library's Science Encounter and Experience for Kids, pre-schoolers and children up to year 2 are invited to pick up a take-home kit from the library which contains materials and instructions for five science experiments.
A livestream show will then be held at 10am on September 30 by TwistED Science which will demonstrate some of the experiments for the children to follow along with.
Free tickets are available on the Wagga City Library website.
