Colvin, a born and bred Wagga girl, is about to embark on her third season at the Demons and admitted that you can't help but get excited as Melbourne prepare for Saturday's AFL grand final.
Melbourne hold the longest premiership drought in the AFL but are favourites to end that against Western Bulldogs in Saturday's decider in Perth.
"There's a buzz around the club and everyone's absolutely stoked," Colvin said.
"Just with where they came from and everyone doubting them. They say that all of the supporters are long-suffering Demons supporters, there's so many ups and downs but finally, everything that they've been working towards, they're game style, everything is starting to come together.
"They're playing the footy they want and living up to their potential so we're all absolutely stoked for them."
Colvin said the club is great place to be.
"It is a good place to be. There's an absolute buzz around the club," she said.
"It's quite exciting and it makes you even more excited about our season coming up and everyone is really hungry. It almost makes you hungrier for the premiership next year now that the boys have made it this far."
Colvin revealed Melbourne president Kate Roffey this week contacted the club's AFLW squad from Perth with a special message.

"It was quite special...it said how much they miss us all and we wish that we were there because we're such a big part of the club, the AFLW team, and she said it's not the same without you guys here," Colvin said.
"It was really good and made us feel that they are thinking of us and that they want us there with them there to celebrate. They wanted us to feel like we're part of the ride as well. It was quite nice.
"She also said she can't wait until lockdown is over and restrictions ease so she can come down and give us all a big hug. She's awesome."
Before she was picked up by Melbourne, Colvin was a diehard Collingwood fan. She still loves the Pies but admits the Demons now hold a special place in her heart.
"I love the Dees and I love Collingwood," she said with a laugh.
"You start to lean towards the Dees a little bit because you play in those colours and you see the boys around the club. You do feel apart of the club. We're one big family and we're all connected so my heart lies with the Dees."
Pre-season for the Demons' AFLW squad begins next week ahead of the new January competition start date.
She said next season they will have an even closer link to the men's squad.
"Next year Benny Brown is going to come down and he's going to help out with the forwards and the ruck girls and do some coaching. So we're all very excited about that," she said.
"This year has been a bit funny (with COVID-19 restrictions) but my first year, everyone was really nice and welcoming. You would walk past, have a little chat in the hallway. They're lovely boys.
"It sounds like they've got their culture right. They're all clicking, bonding, not only is it showing off field but on field as well."
