With Australia's agricultural production heading for a record $73 billion, Riverina Pumps are working with farmers to ensure they have adequate fire protection.

Many already own efficient fire fighting appliances, some with converted tankers, others with trailer-mounted Rapid Spray tanks with Aussie pumps that are quickly mobilised when a fire breaks out.

Tom Maguire from Riverina Pumps says working with Aussie Pumps to help people prepare for fire is easy.

"It is not just their product that is first rate, it's the fact that they also produce a Bushfire Survival Guide that really helps people get set up to protect property, livestock and even the harvest," Tom said.

Riverina Pumps, working from their new location at Harvey's Mower & Chainsaw Centre, 48 Pearson Street, Wagga, are fully stocked with Aussie's full range of fire pumps, transfer pumps and even Ultralites.

The Aussie Fire Chief is regarded as being the world's best lightweight fire pump and even the single impeller version outperforms many twin impeller pumps.

Aussie Pumps is focused on Honda powered pumps, like those used by New South Wales Fire & Rescue. Aussie works with Honda to produce a range of pumps they claim out-feature and outperform all others.

Aussie's Fire Chief pumps were air freighted to the United States during the worst of the fire season and even fully mobilised to ship hundreds of pumps to Europe.

The company is also famous for its high-flow pumps.

"If you are going to fight fire, you need water," Tom said. "Filling tankers fast is absolutely essential and Aussie's lightweight portable 4" pump, the Quik Prime 402, with Honda engine, is perfect. That unit can pump up to 1800 lpm."

The team at Riverina Pumps are giving out free Aussie Bushfire Survival Guides and can provide advice on pump selection. They are proud of the Aussie range, the only pumps on the market with a five-year pump end warranty.

"Match that with Honda's three-year warranty and you've got a great package with the best protection, the best quality and the most capability," Tom said.
