Group Nine clubs remain in limbo with NSW Rugby League (NSWRL) still seeking clarification from the Office of Sport.
A NSWRL spokesperson confirmed they were waiting for more information on a number of points on Monday.
With AFL Riverina calling off their seasons on Sunday, Gundagai co-coach Luke Berkrey admitted it's been harder to keep motivation up.
"I'm losing hope by the minute," Berkrey said.
"There is a question there that is just not being answered so it is a bit frustrating but I'm sure there are other people in more frustrating positions than us worried about playing rugby league.
"It is frustrating but for the players the easy thing is you still train and hope for the best and if it doesn't come off you have done yourself a bit of a justice by looking after yourself as much as your team."

With restrictions easing over the weekend, yet no return to play in sight, it has only made things harder.
Clubs have been asked by NSWRL not to return to training despite groups of up to 20 being able to gather outside and sporting facilities re-opening.
Tumut co-coach Zac Masters is hoping for some clarification soon.
"It's hard but we're just waiting in hope NSWRL can work something out with the government," Masters said.
"It doesn't look very likely."
As for what happens if the season can't be completed both admitted it would be a hard call.
"I think it should be null and voided as when is the last time the minor premiers won the premiership?," Berkrey said.
"Just because you finish first doesn't mean you should win the premiership - it is not how the comp runs."
Tumut are looking to be the first club since Southcity in 2017 to win the title from first place after failing to do so last year.
"It's a tough one and as much as I would love to have our names around as premiers after being minor premiers at the end of the regular season I don't think it is really the right way to go about it and it is not like we've earned that by winning the grand final," Masters said.
