One of the industries that had a busier than normal day on Saturday after being forced to close completely during lockdown was the hairdressing trade.

It was difficult to tell who was more delighted as owners were busy and customers were pleased to have their locks groomed.
The Style Bar owner Katie Coote, who opened the business on July 1, but had been closed for five weeks, was excited to reopen her doors.

"Saturday was one of our very biggest days," Mrs Coote said.
"It was great to see clients back with the biggest smiles and being back on track for normal life.
"There were some happy tears from myself and my clients.
"It's been financially and mentally challenging and I couldn't have kept going without the support of my husband, family, staff and customers who have been great in supporting small businesses."
Zuliani's Hair and Beauty owner Maddi Zuliani said she was excited to see clients in her "busy, creative space".
"The atmosphere in Lake Village shopping centre is amazing and the locals are so supportive of our business," Miss Zuliani said.
"We are very lucky to have such beautiful clients and the support we have received is just amazing."
Miss Zuliani wants to welcome new clients when she works her way through a backlog of appointments.
"Everyone has been very accommodating and understanding with us while we try to reschedule appointments with our extended trading hours," she said.
"Although it's back to business, returning to the salon with all the unknowns with COVID is a little scary, especially now being a first-time mum."
