Regional NSW may be coming out of lockdown on Saturday but community sport will not be permitted until 80 percent of the state has been double-vaccinated.
That means the competition is set to follow the Ovens and Murray and Tallangatta leagues in cancelling its finals series for 2021.
"It looks like we are finished following this morning's community sport announcement, but out of courtesy to our clubs we will hold a Zoom meeting with presidents tonight and talk about it," league president Brendan I'Anson said.
"We've waited and waited but the walls look to have closed in on us."
As with other competitions, cancelling the season will have major financial implications for the Hume League, which was last played to a conclusion in 2019.
Reigning premiers Osborne were the dominant side again this year, going through the home-and-away season unbeaten and inflicting the only two losses on second-placed Holbrook.
The top six was completed by Rand-Walbundrie-Walla, Brock-Burrum, CDHBU and Henty, who were due to contest finals without crowds.
Osborne also finished top of the pile in A-grade netball, with Jindera and Lockhart their closest challengers.
Details around the Azzi medal count were also up for discussion at the meeting.
