The swift response of Wagga fire crews has saved an abandoned home in Turvey Park from destruction.

Emergency services were called to the brick home on Jack Avenue at about 7:32pm on Wednesday.
Two Fire and Rescue NSW crews from the Turvey Park fire station entered the building and found a small fire burning in the rear of the home.
The blaze was extinguished shortly after.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Station Officer Mark Edis said no one was in the building when fire crews arrived and damage was kept to a minimum.
"Due to the swift actions of the crews there was minimal damage to the structure itself," he said.
Police, ambulance and essential energy services were also on the scene.
Fire crews handed the site over to police for further investigation.
