All twelve Football Wagga clubs met online on Monday night, where the framework for resuming the 2021 season was discussed.
A number of options on how a finish to the season would look was discussed with clubs but Football Wagga will wait until this week's announcement by the NSW Government before formalising any plans.
"We're keeping the season alive and we have a framework for doing it, which we went through with the clubs (on Monday) night," Football Wagga president Tony Dobbin said.
"There are a couple of options within it but it's very, very dependent on what happens with the announcements."
Dobbin paid tribute to clubs, who he said remain invested in the decision making process despite having been sidelined now for close to five weeks.

Dobbin also confirmed one option under consideration is to resume their season this weekend, should restrictions allow.
"We've gone through the options with the clubs and we've got to have a bit of a think. There's a few options there we're quite happy with. We've just got to fine tune it, but we can't fine tune until the announcements get made," he said.
"We went to them with a program of being able to start this weekend and the weekend after and keeping going that way. There's a few minor details we have to sort out before we do all that. But effectively we've got to wait until the announcement.
"There is a way forward to play if we're allowed to play. We're keeping the season alive. It's always easier to plan and keep it alive and then cancel if we have to, rather than the other way around and we get caught out, oh, we can play, what are we going to do?"
While hopeful for a resumption, Dobbin also conceded there are several potential issues that may arise.
"One of the biggest ones we have is car pooling. Because so many of our players will share a car to go to an out of town match, or coming to Wagga. That's one of the bigger ones we've got to worry about," he said.
