WAGGA police are calling on those marking Anzac Day with a drink and a game of two-up to behave responsibly.Local Area Command superintendent David Simmons said it was important to remember Anzac Day was a time to respect those who had served and died for their country.Operation Stile will be in effect during Anzac Day, with police patrolling the city targeting those that would ruin the day with their anti-social behaviour."Anyone who attempts to disrupt Anzac Day events can expect to be dealt with swiftly ... they will be arrested, ejected or moved on," Supt Simmons said."Following the Anzac Day march, Diggers and members of the public are encouraged to raise a glass in memory of their fallen colleagues and friends but do it responsibly."Under-age drinking or alcohol-fuelled violence by persons of any age will not be tolerated under any circumstances."People who wish to mark the occasion with a toast to the fallen are asked to leave their car at home."Both marked and unmarked police vehicles will be patrolling all major roads and back streets, so if you take the risk and drink-drive, you will be caught," he said.A similar warning has been made in Griffith.
