In Motion Fitness director Mick Wainwright has been holding outdoors one-on-one training sessions while his gym business is closed by the lockdown.
"I've definitely noticed a lot of people out on the levee, the lake has been pretty packed along the walkway and also along Red Hill Road on the push bike path right along its length," Mr Wainwright said.
"There's also been a lot of people at Jubilee Park going for a walk in the morning before work.
"With gyms being closed at the moment, it makes it hard for people who are used to exercising almost daily for both mental health reasons and physical health reasons."
Mr Wainwright said it was good for people to get of the house when possible under lockdown.
"It's very important to get some fresh air and a bit of sunshine. It's all doom and gloom at the moment so any bit of positivity is good for everyone."
Under the public health order's COVID-19 restrictions on Wagga, people can leave their homes for exercise or recreation outdoors in groups of no more than two.
Larger groups are allowed if people are members of the same household.
People must stay in their Local Government Area or, if in another local government area, within five kilometres of home for exercise or recreation.

Wagga mayor Greg Conkey said he had also noticed a lot more people out while he has been riding his bike.
"It's encouraging to see all the people out and about exercising. I've been doing that daily and the amount of people about is quite phenomenal, really.
"They are abiding by the rules and regulations as far as I can see, going out in family groups or in twos.
"The levee and around the lake have been particularly popular. I have been ringing my bell regularly going around the lake to warn people I'm coming up behind them. I've been doing some of the new active travel cycle ways and they are very popular."
