An essential worker from outside the Murrumbidgee Local Health District visited locations in Temora and Beckom while potentially infectious on August 16 and 17.
Cr Firman said on Wednesday evening that the staff at all three Temora businesses affected had tested negative.
"They have all tested negative; the proprietors have all rang me and let me know so I've been trying to spread the word," he said.
"The first thing since we did since [Murrumbidgee Local Health District] let us know about the exposure sites was ring each of the businesses, for obvious reasons, to let them know we are there for them and thinking of them as you worry about people not supporting them.
"They were just so overjoyed [by the negative results] because all of them care about our community and they were worrying themselves sick, as you could understand."
Though the negative results might not mean the town is in the clear just yet, Cr Firman said Temora was "clinging to all positive news".
"This is positive news from our perspective," he said.
NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro has said the exposure has raised questions about the Riverina coming out of lockdown at the weekend.
The person was asymptomatic and underwent regular routine testing, and they are now isolating outside of the MLHD while contact tracing has identified four venues in Temora and Beckom.
Anyone who attended the venues at the same dates and times is now a casual contact and must get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received. These include:
- Temora Shell Service Station on August 16, from 6.15am to 6.30am
- Temora French Hot Bread on August 16, from 6.15am to 6.35am and August 17, from 5.55am to 6.10am.
- Temora Wylies Newsagency on August 16, from 4.34pm to 4.50pm
- BP Beckom Roadhouse on August 16, from 1.10pm to 1.35pm and August 17, from 9.40am to 9.55am
Wagga has had two other potential COVID-19 exposures within 100 kilometres, at Narrandera and Gundagai, over the past three months.
Hundreds of people have been tested for COVID-19 at Hillston and Lake Cargelligo after an infected person visited multiple shops.
