Northern Riverina were just one week away from completing their season until the NSW Government's lockdown interrupted their plans.
The Northern Riverina League has not panicked however, pushing back their showpiece event a week to Saturday, August 28.
"Our plan is we've just postponed it a week at this stage. Hopefully if we get out of lockdown on Sunday then we'll be able to go full steam ahead," Northern Riverina League president Mark Bryant said.
"Hopefully we can get in and get it done. It was just a bit disappointing, we just needed one more week. We nearly got there."
Lake Cargelligo was set to meet Hillston in the senior football grand final at West Wyalong. Tullibigeal and West Wyalong will battle it out in the A grade netball.
In a sign of how the league is going, all six clubs will be represented by at least two teams on grand final day.
"We've had a fantastic season out here and we're that bloody close to finishing," Bryant said.
"All clubs have got at least two teams in, so it's been a really good spread. Everyone's involved and it's been really good that way."

Bryant is determined to finish the season with a grand final and will continue to postpone a week, within reason, until they can get the day in.
"We've got a bit of time up our sleeve," he said.
"We haven't put a deadline on it yet. We'd probably want to finish by the end of September I'd imagine.
"If all else fails, we'll push it back another week and keep playing it by ear. We want to be out of lockdown for that week before we do it. Just to give everyone time to get organised and hopefully we are still able to run a full canteen and run it how we normally do it.
"If worse comes to worst and there were some restrictions still in place, we'll just do it with skeleton staff and try to limit our exposure to each other and all that sort of caper.
"We just want to get it done."
The Northern Riverina League were also able to hold their presentation night recently, where West Wyalong-Girral's Will McMartin took out the senior best and fairest by one vote from Lake Cargelligo's Bryce McPherson.
Maddison Morris won the A grade netball best and fairest.
Lake Cargelligo, coached by Dean Hague, will go in as favourites to win the senior flag but Hillston, led by Nathan Morris, will go in with confidence after a 67-point win over West Wyalong-Girral in the preliminary final.
Hillston will look to the likes of Neil McFarlane, Josh Smith and Jason Cheatley for big games, while Lake boast the likes of McPherson, Jaden Kelly and Aaron Hart.
