The Thunder haven't played since July 11 due to COVID restrictions and byes.
Albury had a first grade bye following their 44-12 loss to Temora before their games against Gundagai and Kangaroos were declared COVID draws.
The club then had the bye last week.
Both first grade and reserve grade were always set to host Tumut at Greenfield Park on Sunday.
There were doubts over the viability of the Sullivan Cup (under 16s) and Weissel Cup (under 18s) sides due to the Victorian lockdown however with a surprise early reprieve it is now full steam ahead for the border club.
"We will be able to fill all grades," Albury president Rick O'Connell said.
"There's a benefit of not having cases in regional Victoria at long last."
The exception is their leaguetag side, who did take on Gundagai a fortnight ago.
However with Tumut not fielding a women's team this season they will have to wait until the final round of the season to return to action.

Albury hosts Brothers in the final round of the season on August 22.
The leaguetag side currently sits in third place.
As it stands, Victorian border restrictions will have an impact on their team for the finals with coach Craig Blackhall among those who live on the other side of the border but the side is committed to soldiering on.
However the case for their reserve grade is not as clear cut.
The Thunder are currently in fifth, two points clear of Junee and another point in front of Tumut.
They will be fine to play their last two regular season games on the border, finals games outside of the bubble pose a different scenario.
"I've spoken to both coaches and leaguetag will play with whatever they've got available and will honour their commitments," O'Connell said. "Obviously we will be much weaker and without our coach.
"Reserve grade will be a lot more difficult and we will just have to wait and see there.
"Leaguetag have enough players to fill a side but reserve is another kettle of fish."
