A house fire in central Wagga has been extinguished after catching alight on Saturday afternoon.
Fire and Rescue NSW zone commander Stewart Alexander said that firefighters remain on the scene after working to contain the blaze.
"Firefighters are still there checking to make sure that it's completely extinguished, to make sure that everything is out," he said.
"The house has sustained serious damage."
Firefighters are also checking neighbouring homes, which are in close proximity to the affected house.
EARLIER 5:39pm:
Four fire trucks are battling a house fire in central Wagga after a blaze overtook the home on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the site on Docker Street near Forsyth Street just after 5 pm.
Fire and Rescue NSW zone commander Stewart Alexander said firefighters remained on scene and were containing the blaze.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"Fortunately everyone from the home is accounted for and there were no injuries," he said.
"We have four crews currently on scene."
Police are also there helping to direct traffic around the emergency team.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said that no persons were in the home, with no injuries reported.
Officers on the scene are evacuating a couple of the surrounding homes as a precaution, a NSW Police spokesperson said.
