The teenager was facing 18 weeks on the sidelines after being slapped with a grade two intentional high tackle charge after being sent off in the 66-0 loss to Tumut.
However after taking his case to the Group Nine judiciary on Wednesday night he was successfully able to get the charge downgraded.
After pleading guilty to a grade one careless high tacke charge, which is four levels down from the original charge, Macklan was handed a two-game ban.

Brothers president Mitch Dunn believes it is a much more reasonable outcome.
"I think sanity prevailed," Dunn said.
"The punishment probably fits the bill. I've seen some that were equal to or worse and there has been no suspensions but there was no denying he got him high.
"We're happy with the whole process. Going from 18 weeks to two is a big difference but it probably matches up with what the offence was."
Brothers have the bye this week so Macklan will miss their games against Kangaroos and Albury as they search for their first win.
