Leeton consolidated second position on the Pascoe Cup ladder with an uninspiring 2-0 win over South Wagga last weekend.
It was a performance that left Alampi scratching his head.
"We were terrible. Credit to South Wagga, they pressured us, they fought hard, they kept running, they never stopped, they were well structured. But our passing was just horrendous. It was the worst display in the three years that I've coached," Alampi said.
He has called for a quick turnaround ahead of Sunday's home game against fourth-placed Lake Albert.
Alampi said he hopes they are able to turn their form around in the space of a week.
"I bloody hope so. I hope so, mate," he said.
"The boys are well aware. I didn't tell them anything they didn't know. They were frustrated. Sometimes that can happen. We just put a line through it, we got the three points, that's what we wanted, yeah we wanted a good performance as well but it didn't come.
"We really had to grind out the victory, to be honest. It's frustrating, not just for me, the boys were cranky and frustrated but there's no point yelling and screaming. It's not the worst thing in the world, it's a game of football and we move on."
Leeton are locked in a duel with three other clubs, Henwood Park, Lake Albert and Young, fighting for the last three spots in the finals series.
Hanwood, who are undefeated, appear safe.
Leeton, while comfortable in second for the moment, have the toughest run home of the four clubs.
"I'm confident if we play our best football, we'll be fine," Alampi said.
"I'm hoping, when you've got a few easy games, the intensity drops off sometimes so I'm hoping with the Hanwood and Henwood Park rescheduling, we've got a pretty tough draw. But that might be a good thing because we'll have to have the intensity and everything up.
"If we're not good enough, those games will prove that we're not good enough. There's no point shying away from the draw. Most of our games are home, that's one good thing."

Alampi is well importance of the Lake Albert clash. They can extend their lead on teams like the Sharks, or come right back to the pack, with some hard games to come.
The two teams drew 2-2 in Wagga earlier in the year and Alampi hopes they can better that result.
"It's going to be big one," he said.
"I'm hoping they might be righto, we're got some big games coming up and pick it up and go to that next level.
"Lake Albert are dangerous. They leave their three blokes up top and they don't drop them back. We're a completely different side to that day, obviously with our outs, we're going to be completely different to what they saw that day, I suppose, but I imagine they might be different as well.
"They punished us for our mistakes that day. We made a couple of really basic errors that day and they capitalised. We felt that we were in control of the game. We should have won the game and didn't. But it could have gone either way.
"The boys are well aware they're up for a game. They've got their dangers all over the park but we've got some dangerous players as well, so hopefully we'll be ok."
