The current Hammond Health Medical Centre is located at 2 Docker Street and operates with three part-time doctors, a nurse and two receptionists.
The redevelopment of the location on Fitzmaurice Street is set to cost an estimated $70,000.
According to the development application lodged with Wagga City Council, the first known use of the site was as Ed Scully's Federal Coach Factory in 1915.
IN OTHER NEWS:
This factory continued operating at the site until the 1930s when it was demolished and the Douglas Body Company opened, selling vehicles and fuel.
From 1970 until about 2005 the site was home to a tyre sales and service centre before being transformed into a space for offices and retail use.
Operating hours are proposed to be consistent with the hours at the current site, being 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12pm on Saturday.
There will be 12 car parking spaces at the rear of the site.
