The Bulldogs began the fourth-last round of the season two games outside the top five, but after being outscored five goals to two in the opening quarter they were kept goalless in the second and third terms.
Leeton-Whitton have become the 'spoilers' of the league with some strong wins in the back half of the year, and Tyron Rainbird's eight goals helped spearhead them to another.
After they were down by 46 points at halftime of last week's loss to Collingullie-Glenfield Park, Turvey Park coach Michael Mazzocchi was keen to see a response from his side.
