IN OTHER NEWS:
A representative for the Director of Public Prosecutions asked to move the trial date set in November, explaining that the officer in charge on the day was unavailable. Barrister Ben Hart, who appeared for Mr Triffitt, opposed moving it to 2022.
"It is difficult, especially now in COVID times to obtain new trial dates to suit all counsel and solicitors involved," he said.
"It is a matter that is getting fairly long in the tooth and needs to proceed."
Judge Gordon Lerve decided to keep the November date while the legal teams check if the second officer in charge is available. The matter returns on August 6.
