Jacob Toppin has now missed tough attempts in their losses to Kangaroos in round two and then Young at Twickenham on Saturday.
They scored nine wins between the two losses but the 12-10 loss saw the Blues slip to second on the ladder.
Coming off the bye, co-coach Zac Masters rued a slow start after Young crossed twice in the opening 10 minutes.
"We spoke about it but sometimes speaking about it and dealing with it are two different things," Masters said.
"We spoke about our start but didn't start as well as we wanted to.
"We had two weeks off and pretty much haven't trained but we put it together in the second half."

Masters thought the team chanced their arm too much in the muddy conditions.
However he believes there are still plenty of positives for the side.
Especially after having the better of the running for more of the clash.
"We just kept letting them off the hook with drop balls and mistakes down their end," Masters said.
"I think our defence was really good in the second half and we played most of the game down their end.
"They were awesome in defence to keep holding us out for as long as they did but we just kept letting them off the hook and in these conditions you can't do that as there aren't too many points out there."
However Masters is still pleased with how the team is situated.
"I'm not too worried about it though and we just have to move onto next week," he said.
Masters is looking to hit back against Brothers at Equex Centre on Saturday.
Tumut will then get the chance to take top spot back off Southcity when the Bulls travel to Twickenham on August 8.
