A second man has been charged over an alleged home invasion, during which a woman and man were assaulted inside a Wagga unit.

About 6.30am on April 11, a 46-year-old woman walked outside her unit on Kokoda Street, Ashmont, after hearing noises.
Police have been told the woman was assaulted by three people, who forced her back inside and smashed the front window of the property while demanding money from a second occupant, a 68-year-old man, who was then assaulted with a shovel and stabbed.
It's alleged the woman was then assaulted and had her personal belongings stolen.
Detectives from Riverina Police District established Strike Force Xamab to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Officers have now arrested a second man after charging a 22-year-old man last week.
About 11.45am on Tuesday, Strike Force Xamab Detectives arrested a 26-year-old man on Fitzmaurice Street.
He was taken to Wagga Police Station, where he was charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence.
The Mount Austin man was refused bail to appear in Wagga Local Court on Wednesday.
