The SES has issued a flood warning along the Murrumbidgee River upstream of Wagga due to rainfall, high levels and dams releasing into the waterway.

The warning for for equipment and livestock was issued on late Tuesday afternoon.
"Recent rainfall and high river levels combined with increased flows from the dams may result in high river rises upstream of Wagga, that could impact farms adjacent to the river," the warning stated.
"WaterNSW has advised flow increases from Burrinjuck dam. Releases are planned to increase from 14,300 megalitres per day to 20,000 megalitres per day by 4PM on Tuesday.
The river's rising level has already caused some minor flooding around Wagga Beach.
The SES said it expected flooding might affect low-lying farmland and roads near rivers and creeks.
"Land owners and farmers adjacent to rivers and creeks should monitor river levels and the weather," the warning stated.
"NSW SES will continue to monitor the situation."
Farmers are encouraged to:
- Monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings and be ready to move to higher ground should flooding develop.
- Never drive, ride or walk-through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.
- Farmers begin to move livestock and equipment away from flood-prone paddocks.
