NARRANDERA'S tough day at the office at Collingullie-Glenfield Park was made worse after coach Jordan Hedington suffered an injury and Fergus Inglis was sent off in the Demons' 11.6 (72) to 2.8 (20) win on Saturday.

While the Demons' resurgence continued with their sixth win in their past eight games, Hedington suffered a shoulder injury just before half-time and Eagles defender Fergus Inglis was reported and sent off for umpire abuse in the third term.
James Pope had a field day in terrible conditions at Crossroads Oval with five goals, while Daniel Frawley added three as fourth-placed Collingullie-Glenfield Park moved to 7-5 for the season.
Interestingly the Demons' charge started after a forgettable 57-point loss to Narrandera in round four.
'We did the little things well and played according to the conditions which was good," Collingullie-Glenfield Park coach Brett Somerville said.
"The back six worked well and we had contributors all over the ground. We moved the ball through the middle and played the conditions a bit better.
"Popey was brilliant down forward, the conditions probably helped him get off his man. In that sort of weather once you shake them it's hard for the defender to recover."
IN OTHER NEWS
The Demons have a chance to entrench themselves in the top five when they take on sixth-placed Turvey Park (5-6) next week, before a bye is followed by a clash with Leeton-Whitton.
"Every week has been a final for us for a while, we've responded pretty well in most of them and Turvey in particular are also fighting for a finals spot," Somerville said.
"It will be a big game next week and Leeton are putting things together better than the start of the year now."
Hedington is unsure what damage he has done to his shoulder, but said the initial outlook isn't great.
"The physio thought maybe a ligament or AC joint, it's a bit early to tell. I'll get it looked at but it's not good signs at the moment," he said.
