Wagga Highway Patrol Acting Sergeant Michael Carr said the man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was trapped after the crash but did not show signs of serious injury.
"It happened about 10:45am, coming down the hill on Tumbarumba Road heading back towards Wagga about a kilometre before the Hume Highway overpass on the Tumbarumba side, Acting Sergeant Carr said.
"A 33-year-old male has been conveyed to Wagga Base Hospital with only minor injuries and and lacerations but nothing serious detected.
"A Triton ute towing a trailer lost control on the wet road, crossed to the wrong side of the road, hit an embankment and then flipped. He was trapped for quite some time before he could be cut from the vehicle."
There were no other vehicles involved in the incident.
