A Wagga man accused of being involved in a street race that saw vehicles allegedly reach 200km/h has lost his licence and gained a court date.

At the weekend, Riverina highway patrol officers attached to Puma South West Regional became aware of a video that allegedly showed two vehicles screaming along in Young.
The vehicles reached speeds of up to 200km/h in a 100km/h zone, police said.
While police became aware of the footage recently, it is alleged the street race occurred in April.

Officers attended a home in Young on Wednesday and arrested a 21-year-old man, who is now charged with organising or promoting a race between two vehicles, a second offence.
Police in Wagga attended a home on Thursday to speak to a 35-year-old man in relation to the incident.
He has also been charged with organising or promoting a race between vehicles.
Both men had their licenses suspended and they will appear before Young Local Court on August 17.
