The Bushpigs kept their finals hopes alive with an impressive 38-point win over Barellan last Saturday and will look to return to the top five with a win over Northern Jets this week.
Cohalan is well aware of the importance of the Jets game.
"I said to the boys last week before Barellan that we didn't want to hide away from the fact if we harbor finals aspirations, which you naturally do when you find yourselves halfway through the year in contention, that we'd have to win our next two to play finals," Cohalan said.
"We got one tick with a pretty good performance against Barellan and now we have the opportunity to again keep our finals hopes alive against another quality opponent this weekend in Northern Jets.
"I suppose with us and them battling for that fifth spot. It's almost like an eight-point game."
Grant Daly and Harry Wakefield will remain out for CSU, but Caleb Dunne-Argus will be available for selection after missing last week.

Cohalan said the Bushpigs will take some confidence out of their earlier meeting with the Jets this year, where CSU won by 33 points on the day the club marked their 50th anniversary celebrations.
"I think so. I was doing a bit of review of that during the week and we got out to a 30-point lead by half-time, they got it back to 13 at three quarter time, so they came hard in that third quarter and we were able to run away from them again and got up by six goals," he said.
"Certainly we learnt a lot from playing them the first time around, we know they will have improved and they obviously have since then but we'd like to think we have as well.
"It's probably a tale of two different styles and two different sides. They're very tall and have some bigger bodies that are hard to mark up on in the air, whereas we don't have that tall timber so we try to play a different way obviously."
Both teams have won games this season with the Jets holding a 15 per cent buffer on CSU. It means the winner on Saturday will sit in fifth, with five rounds still to play.
