Police have launched an investigation into two Riverina house fires they believe are suspicious and that could possibly be linked.

About 8.20pm on Monday, emergency services were called to a property on Heath Crescent, Griffith, following reports of a house engulfed by fire.
The blaze was extinguished, but the home was extensively damaged.
Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
IN OTHER NEWS:
About 6.40pm on Tuesday, emergency services were called to Snaith Place, Pioneer, following reports a house was on fire. The house was also extensively damaged.
Both properties were vacant at the time and no injuries were reported from the fires.
Police are treating both fires as suspicious and are investigating possible links between the two.
