Batlow's Sharni Williams will co-captain Australia's women's rugby sevens teams as they look to defend their gold medal success from Rio.
Coach John Manenti labelled it one of the most challenging team selection processes in his career.
"As coaches, we have selected the best performing squad, and while some decisions were tough, ultimately, we have selected a team which will put us in the best position to perform," Manenti said.
"Playing last weekend has been great preparation ahead of Tokyo, game time is always important, and it gave us an opportunity to get that.
"There is a good combination of youth and experience within the team, but this is a new team and we'll be looking to write our own Olympic chapter."

Leeton's Dylan Pietsch is also part of a new-look men's rugby sevens line up.
Only two of the 12-strong squad, captain Nick Malouf and Henry Hutchison, were part of the Rio team while three players yet to debut for Australia have also been selected.
Both teams were announced on Saturday.
The men's team will face off against New Zealand, Argentina and Republic of Korea in their pool, while the women's team have been drawn against USA, China and hosts Japan.
It comes as Culcairn's Andrew Hoy, who has three equestrian gold medals to his credit, will add to his Australian record after being selected for his eighth Olympic Games in eventing.
After making his debut for the Kookaburras in May, Wagga's Dylan Martin booked his ticket as Australia look to improve on a sixth placed finish in the men's hockey.
The Games start on July 23.
Tumut swimmer Ashley van Rijswijk has qualified for the Paralympics.
