Kangaroos are the only side to get the better of the Blues so far this season but a repeat of their early success was never on the cards in muddy conditions at Twickenham on Saturday.
Tumut crossed twice in the first six minutes to set up the 36-4 victory.
While the conditions didn't allow either team to be at their best, the Blues handed the slop significantly better.
Failing to back up following a clash with Gundagai has hurt Tumut in the past, as was the case earlier this season, but co-coach Lachlan Bristow was pleased with how the team responded to make it eight wins in a row.
"It was terrible conditions for quality football but it is what it is, we got through it and we got the win so happy days," Bristow said.
"It was one we wanted to get as they are the only team to have beaten us.
"We really wanted to put it to them so I'm pretty happy with that."

Tumut went into the clash without centre Tolo Aroha-Tuinauvai and lost fullback Mitch Ivill (head knock) earlier in the first half.
However their back line stil made the most of their opportunities with all of their seven tries coming out wide.
With plenty of focus on their forward pack, Bristow was pleased to see their back line step up once more.
"We do have some good middles but this year we've scored a lot of points out wide as well," he said.
"We've got some very good strike out wide.
"I'm sure if a slow track or a dry track is better or worse but it just makes it harder.
"In the second half we couldn't play any good ball as it was just a slug-fest as we couldn't get out of trouble and it was slow going."
Five-eighth Jacob Toppin and Bristow interchanged their roles at stages with Toppin given plenty of opportunity at hooker.
Bristow was pleased with how the experiment went ahead of another clash with Gundagai next week.
"We thought we would have a little look," he said.
"I was trying to get in there and take a little more control in attack, Toppy is a natural nine as well and goes good in there, so we thought we would change it up and see what we could come up."
Tumut capitalised on an early error from Kangaroos to get on the board through Tom Hickson after four minutes.
Billy Bridgeman crossed a double in the win.
Bridgeman's first was set up by a Ron Leapai pass after Bristow batted back a kick in the sixth minute.
Ivill then sliced through the Kangaroos defence nine minutes later before the Wagga side hit back after a mistake at the back.
Timoci Vatubuli crossed after 24 minutes but it was one of the few highlights for Kangaroos.
Jesse Bellchambers scored out wide to give Tumut a 20-4 lead at half-time.
Leapai extended their advantage following a mistake off the restart from Kangaroos before Bridgeman crossed for his second.
Brayden Draber completed the scoring with a brilliant individual try after making a break, kicking ahead of himself before diving on the ball over the try line.
Co-coach Zac Masters also didn't finish the clash but Bristow is hopeful their three injury concerns won't stop them before another showdown with the Tigers.
