Wagga suffered Optus mobile and internet outages on Friday morning as the teleco was hit by network problems across eastern Australia.

The outages started at about 10:30am and the company's own outage tracker listed a potential issue with multiple mobile phone towers in Wagga following an investigation.
"Sorry, a number of Optus mobile towers in this area are not working," the company's website stated.
"Our network team is working to resolve a transmission issue on the Optus mobile network in this area."
The issues appear widespread as internet and mobile service complaints monitoring website downdetector was reporting large numbers of outages in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane on Friday.

An Optus spokesperson has said some Optus mobile and internet services might have been affected by an outage that commenced at approximately 10.30am.
"Keeping customers connected is our priority and we apologise for any inconvenience caused," the spokesperson said.
"While services look to be restoring, Optus is working to identify the cause of the outage.
"In the instances of an emergency, Optus recommends customers dial 000."
