The Bennett family is new to Sacred Heart Catholic school but they are already impressed with what they see. Luella and David Bennett's decision to send their two children to Sacred Heart was one made without the assistance of the Federal Government's new My School website, but it may be something they look at in the future."Since we just moved schools, we want to know whether the choices we made for our children were good ones, so we'll probably have a look at the site soon", said Mrs Bennett. The couple's two children - Elly in year 5, and Nicholas in year 3 - started at Sacred Heart yesterday and both said they enjoyed their first day at the school. The Bennetts' choice of Sacred Heart was made by visiting the school and listening to what the staff had to offer their students. "They're really focused on developing the child as a whole ? not just academically ? into a good and happy person, which is something that's really important to us, and the My School website doesn't take that into consideration," Mrs Bennett said. Most parents interviewed feel they know their school and its teachers better than the website. "I can't imagine (the website) will tell us anything we don't already know about the school," said Sacred Heart parent Heather Hammond.
