In the past 24 hours, the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) has conducted 557 COVID tests. Of these, no new cases of the virus have been detected.
Over 122,000 tests have now been completed within the local health district since the pandemic began.
NSW recorded 18 new local cases of the virus to 8pm on Sunday night. All but one of these has been linked to existing cases, Premier Gladys Berejiklian said during a press conference.
On Monday morning, an influx of people turned up to the testing clinic located at Wagga Beach.
Vehicles queued in line at the drive-through clinic located at the carpark, stretching all the way down Johnston Street, through the intersection onto Tarcutta Street and even reaching Sturt Street.
Due to the influx of cars and impact on traffic flow, police set up traffic cones and monitored the intersection from roughly 10:30am.

Meanwhile, the MLHD has introduced restrictions at its hospitals and health service facilities in response to the new COVID cases in the state.
All visitors to MLHD facilities will be screened, and those who have travelled to Greater Sydney in the last 14 days will be denied entry.
The health district is urging the community to be extra vigilant with their social distancing, hand hygiene and mask wearing, especially as the school holidays begin.
They are also reminding the community to come forward for COVID-19 testing if even the mildest of symptoms arise.
