Police set up a strike force to investigate the fatal single-vehicle crash on March 21, 2020, and detectives found the driver, 17, had attended a licensed premises in Temora the previous evening.
In November, police charged two people and alleged the deceased had been given alcoholic drinks by both the licensee, Kathleen Patricia James, and a patron, James Douglas Reid.
Reid, whose listed address is at Wee Waa, appeared in Young Local Court yesterday for sentencing.
The 25-year-old pleaded guilty during an earlier court appearance to a charge of a person unrelated to licensed premises supplying liquor to a minor.

Reid also entered pleas of guilty to destroying or damaging property and an excluded person remaining in the vicinity of licensed premises after he was charged over an unrelated matter at Narrabri.
Solicitor Trudie Cameron made written submissions to the court on Reid's behalf and asked the magistrate to consider various factors.
She acknowledged Reid's "criminal conduct" and its role in a "tragic and awful series of events". "The objective seriousness of the supply is reduced by the fact it is a single schooner of beer," she said. Ms Cameron said the unrelated offences were "spontaneous".
The police prosecutor said Reid knew the minor was underage and there were three instances of supplying alcohol. He also noted the unrelated offences, adding "alcohol is a common thread in the offences before the court".
Magistrate Jillian Kiely said Reid was entitled to a discount due to an early plea, but she was concerned about his behaviour.
"This young man has a problem with alcohol that needs to be addressed," she said.
Reid was sentenced to an 18-month community corrections order with the conditions of supervision and abstinence from alcohol and fined $3100.
James was sentenced earlier in June to an 18-month community correction order with conditions.
