Hanwood stretched their winning streak to eight with a 4-0 win over Young at home at Hanwood Oval.
Returning to play at home for the first time in a month, Hanwood got off to a strong start and went into the half-time break with a 3-0 lead.
Daniel Rogato sealed the win with his second goal shortly after the break. Daniel Johnson and Dem Torino scored Hanwood's other goals.
The win maintained Hanwood's handsome position on top of the Pascoe Cup ladder, as they sit six points clear just a week out from the halfway mark of the season.
The loss, Young's second in a row, dropped them a point outside the top four to fifth.
Hanwood coach Brian Bertolin was happy with the 4-0 win despite the performance being somewhat patchy.
"We just went through the motions and did what we had to do, and every time we scored a goal, we invited them back, and we were probably a bit lucky they didn't take some of their chances as we did," Bertolin told The Area News.
"The second half was pretty good, and we didn't look under too much threat there. It was a controlled performance, and without being brilliant, it was still good."
Tumut recorded their second win of the season at Rawlings Park on Sunday.
The Eagles have been very competitive all season and were rewarded for their consistency with a 2-1 win over South Wagga.
Tumut led 1-0 at half-time but South Wagga snared an equaliser shortly after the break.
The Eagles then managed to land the winner with about 10 minutes remaining. South Wagga continued to come hard and threw everything at Tumut, who were able to hold strong and take the win.
The win moved Tumut up a spot into sixth position on the ladder.
