The council area now has access to the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) program, which is jointly funded by the NSW and federal governments.
Parts of the Temora Shire received up to 180 millimetres of rain between March 21 and 23, causing flooding that left significant damage to road and drainage infrastructure.
DRFA support includes access to ongoing clean-up efforts and the dedicated recovery grants of up to $75,000 for primary producers and up to $50,000 for small businesses.
Riverina MP Michael McCormack urged anyone in the Temora LGA impacted by the weather event to look into the assistance package to see if they were eligible for support.
"Please reach out for help if you need it," he said.
Temora mayor Rick Firman said it was "great" for the council area to have access to the support program.
"We have certainly have some of our roads that need attention and [the council] will apply for repair funds," he said.
