In front of a huge Jets crowd which turned out to support a motor neurone disease fundraiser for former Ariah Park coach Ian Gordon, the Bombers took control with a dominant second quarter on the way to a 12.11 (83) to 7.10 (52) win.
Zach Walgers led the way superbly as Marrar opened up a 39-point lead by half-time however he's likely to to miss some games after going off with an ankle injury in the third quarter.
Fellow midfielder Sam Emery is in the same boat after a first quarter hip injury and the ladder leaders were thankful for their solid start.
"We were really good early... our pressure and run and ball movement in the first half set the win up," Marrar coach Shane Lenon said.
"But the Jets come at us hard in the third quarter."
The Bombers steadied after the home side got within three goals, and then did enough to finish off.
Rhys Mooney kicked four goals for Marrar. The league's leading goalkickers, James Lawton and Matt Wallis, both kicked three after good battles with Nathan Tiyce and Liam James respectively.
Jed Jenkins was strong running with Mitch Haddrill while Blake Walker and Jack Reynolds had strong games.
Sam Clemson had a crack for the Jets, and Wallis was a constant threat when it came forward.
"That was a tough game of footy, which I knew it would be," Lenon said.
He reserved the strongest praise for the Jets community declaring it an honour for Marrar to be the opposing team on a very special day and to witness the spirit of a close-knit town and football club.
