Today, Taskforce 72 club members will be deploying a fleet of meticulously handcrafted model ships and submarines into the pool for their regatta.
One of the members is Wagga boat enthusiast Brian McCrowe, who said this year's boats were even more historically accurate than usual.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"A few of the boys are now 3D printing the small parts they need for their boats, life raft canisters, small lifeboats," Mr McCrowe said.
"Technology is wonderful sometimes."
Mr McCrowe said this year's attendees hailed from all over the country - from South Australia to Sydney, to the ACT - provided COVID-19 did not throw a last-minute spanner in the works.
They will be bringing their own handcrafted models, each of which will be 1:72 to scale and modelled after real-life vessels used in the navy.
The show runs from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and 10am to 2pm on Sunday.
