Alex Stoll, who is referred in court documents by the name George Stoll, and Sarah Anne McGrath appeared via video link at Wagga District Court on Friday.
Judge Gordon Lerve asked Mr Stoll, 25, how he pleaded to the two charges of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent.
He pleaded not guilty to both.

Ms McGrath pleaded not guilty.
The two other co-accused, Haydn Patrick Smith and Bradley Triffitt, have also pleaded not guilty to involvement in the incident, which is alleged to have occurred on May 14 last year.
The trial is estimated to take up to two weeks and will begin on November 15.
