Police are trying to track down two males, and have appealed for witnesses to come forward, after a firearm was reportedly discharged in the southern Riverina.

Investigators from the Murray River Police District have been told that a number of shots - believed to be from a rifle - were heard in the vicinity of Old Deniliquin Road at Moama about 3.30pm on Friday.
There have been no reports of injuries, and no damage to property.

Officers are seeking assistance from the public to identify witnesses in the area around the time of the incident.
In particular, officers would like to speak with two males, one may have been driving a black ute with purple writing on the side, and the other possibly driving a white-coloured ute.
