The Magpies kicked four goals in the opening minutes on their way to nine for the first quarter and 15 before half-time. And after struggling to open up their forward line at North Wagga last week, they managed to get the best out of Dean Biermann (five goals) and Shannon Williams (four goals).
TRYC co-coach Brad Aiken gave credit to Temora's effort but said the 'Pies moved the ball quickly and cleanly to get on top.
"We played the brand of footy I know we can play and when we play that, we look good," Aiken said.
"Whether we're playing Temora, Marrar, East Wagga... if we can play that brand of footy and be decisive, it's hard to play against."
Some line-up changes paid off with Dylan Cook shining in the ruck for the Magpies, helping set up their sixth win in eight games in his best game since a return from injury.
"He won our mug. He gave us first use of the footy most of the time and he worked hard around the ground. And having that bigger body around the stoppages helped," Aiken said.
Midfielder Zac Brain kicked four goals in his second of two matches on loan from Ovens and Murray League club Wodonga.
Aiken said the Magpies also kicked some good crumbing goals and players are finding more ways to have an impact on a contest.
TRYC join the Saints and East Wagga-Kooringal on six wins in the first half and will get the chance to go a win clear of the Hawks after next week's general bye.
"We're not blind to the fact that we're coming from a long way back... we've got blokes who have come in from outside so we're still feeling each other out and we've played some good games and some poor ones," Aiken said.
"But we've given ourselves a chance in the second half to play finals and that's what our aim was. To play finals and see what happens from there...
"No-one probably expected us to be there but the boys are getting a bit of reward for effort because they've been buying in, which is nice."
Defender James Clarke sat out the second half after a heavy collision, primarily as a precaution.
They hope to get Mitch Stephenson back next game and could boost their midfield later this month if Cooper Diessel and ruck Jake Adams return from injuries.
Temora were best served by big man Chris Stacey, skipper Rob Grant, midfielder Brad Moye and Will Reinhold who kicked two goals. The undermanned 'Roos are without a win through eight games but maintained their efforts throughout.
