Hol was playing his first game of the season for the Kangaroos against Charles Sturt University last Saturday but lasted less than a quarter before hurting his knee.
Temora coach Jake Wooden revealed the injury looked serious.
"It's pretty bad. He's pretty sore and still struggling to put weight on it," Wooden said.
"He'll book in scans and all that jazz. It could be (season-ending), that's the worst-case scenario.
"It was his first game of the year. We're having a terrible run, it's just one of those years."
Temora put in one of their most positive performances of the season last weekend, leading CSU at three-quarter-time before eventually falling by 21 points.
It was a positive turnaround from the 139-point loss to Northern Jets the week before.
The most positive take-out from the game was the performance of Will Reinhold, who was cleared back to his junior club from Western Region team Sunshine.
He is home from university and Wooden hopes will play a couple more games at Temora before June 30.
"Probably a couple more weeks then we'll clear him back to Victoria after the byes, before June 30," Wooden said.
"He killed it. It was nice to have him."

Temora travel to Victoria Park on Saturday to face The Rock-Yerong Creek. Wooden concedes time is running out for the Kangaroos to make a push for finals.
"To be honest, we're running out of time," he said.
"Fifth spot is on four wins now, let's say they win another four in the back end of the season, we're needing to win just about every week for the rest of the year.
"That makes it pretty hard. Injuries haven't been good to us but while it's still a chance, you've got to stay positive."
The Magpies will go into Saturday's clash on the back of just their second loss for the year, going down to North Wagga by 29 points at McPherson Oval last weekend.
Wooden understands TRYC will be hard to beat.
"They'll be pretty tough, they're playing good footy and it looks as though the Canberra boys have topped them right off," he said.
Wooden does not expect to welcome back any players from injury for the contest.
"We'll have to see. The injuries we've got are pretty good injuries," he said.
"With where we're at there's probably no need to bring anyone back early."
